No Teacher Left Behind: A Poem

I remember 
the time
They started making
teachers 
the nation's villains.
It was 2001
Or maybe 2008
I forget whether 
It was Republicans,
Or Democrats,
Who started it
But they both joined
in.
So by 2015
There was no 
teacher
Left behind
In the witch hunt.
Marked with a
scarlet "T"
A big target
on their front and back
an invitation for all
To attack.
